There are several decent board rental places in Hanalei but I pick this one because:
1. Location, Location, Location
Right on the beach by the Pier, just up the beach from the Pavillion at Hanalei River mouth. Carry your board
the few steps to the water.. No hassle with automobiles. Remember: Hanalei is swim suit, flip flops and bicycle. See photo map below.

2. Highest on Aloha Meter !
The owners, Mitchell and Lynn Alapa, are friendly, un-commercial, low-stress, relaxing-under the coconut tree type of old time Hawaiians.
3. Rent boards for half day !
Four hours is enough. Save money and time for more swimming. Other renters want whole-day's rent.
